Brandão, José Manuel Moraes ValeThe Geological Museum (INETI, Lisbon) holds an important fossil collection from Cacela (Algarve, South Portugal), assembled by Carlos Ribeiro, Nery Delgado and Berkeley Cotter, by the end of the 19th century. Part of these materials has been published by Pereira da Costa in his monograph about Tertiary Molluscs from Portugal. Despite to be a centennial, this collection maintains all its scientific, historic and museological value.
