ABSTRACT: This article analyses the power degradation of six photovoltaic generators of different cell technologies: crystalline silicon and thin film, installed on the terrace of the School of Industrial Engineering and Design of the Polytechnic University of Madrid over a period of three and a half years by determining the degradation rate of two parameters: power in "Standard Test Conditions" and Performance Ratio of direct current with different metrics to reduce the effects due to temperature, solar irradiance and spectral distribution, this last factor being very important for thin film technologies. Statistical methods of time series trend analysis are used to determine these degradation rates. The results show the statistical method that provides the highest precision and contributes to a greater knowledge of the energy behaviour of photovoltaic generators of different technologies under operating conditions in real sunshine in the continental climate of Madrid (Spain).
