RESUMO: Neste trabalho pretende dar-se a conhecer parte dos resultados
de um processo de avaliação num curso de formação de professores sobre
a implementação de aulas de campo (AC), com recurso ao modelo de Orion.
Os professores (15) pertenciam aos grupos de recrutamento 230, 420 e 520
e lecionavam áreas curriculares dos 2º e 3º ciclos do ensino básico e do
ensino secundário em escolas do distrito de Viseu, Portugal. Os resultados
mostram que embora as AC sejam consideradas, uma estratégia muito
importante no ensino e aprendizagem das ciências continuam a ser pouco
utilizadas, bem como o modelo de Orion desconhecido pela maioria dos
participantes. O uso de cartas, topográficas e geológicas, e o site do Google
Earth são adequados para a dinamização de AC, no entanto apenas este
último tem alguma preferência na utilização.
